Overview
In August 2025, She Did That.—the award-winning platform founded by Renae Bluitt—teamed up with, Brooklyn’s very own, the New York Liberty and HelloBeautiful for a two-day celebration at Barclays Center in honor of Black Business Month.
Together, they created POWER PLAYS, a dynamic series that spotlighted the influence of Black women in sports, entrepreneurship, and culture while giving partners an authentic way to connect with diverse audiences.

A Conversation with Women Changing the Game
Inside Barclays Center, She Did That. hosted a powerful conversation, moderated by Renae Bluitt, spotlighting women who are rewriting the rules of sports, style, and entrepreneurship. The starting lineup included:

The celebration continued during the New York Liberty vs. Washington Mystics game with the Caribbean Marketplace, curated by She Did That.
The in-arena experience highlighted 10 Caribbean women-owned brands showcasing the richness, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of Caribbean culture including: Aunts Et Uncles, Brooklyn Tea, Create the Culture, Dollhouse Cosmetics, Fe Noel Little Caribbean, Hey Girl Hey Game, Jam + Rico, Style Eyes Optical, The Salty Heifer Co., and The Spice Theory.
